Hojama 6mm ball screw
Analysis of Noise Faults in Ball Screws
1. Poor pressure fitting of the gland of the ball screw support bearing: This can cause play errors. The troubleshooting method is to adjust the bearing gland to press the bearing end face tightly.
2. Possible fracture of the ball screw support bearing: This can lead to play error. If the bearing is damaged, the troubleshooting method is to replace it with a new one.
3. Loosening of the coupling between the motor and the ball screw kit: This can result in a crawling error. The troubleshooting method is to tighten the coupling locking ball screw assemblies.
4. Poor lubrication of the linear ball screw: This can cause overload, play, and crawling errors. The troubleshooting method is to improve lubrication conditions to ensure sufficient lubricating oil.
5. Damaged balls in the ball screw pair: This can produce play errors. The troubleshooting method is to replace them with new balls.
Precautions for Using Ball Screws
(1) The thread grooves of Precision Ball Screws are quenched and ground. If external components are forcibly driven into the screw shaft or the edge of the nut, indentations will form on the rolling grooves. Therefore, when installing components, be careful not to apply excessive external force to the screw or nut.
(2) Since the circulation parts of the ball screw nut (such as the circulation tube, end cap, etc.) protrude outside the nut, please do not strike or collide with them.
(3) Do not directly apply radial loads or moment loads to the ball screw system. If radial loads or moment loads act on it, the service life of the linear ballscrew will be extremely reduced or the ball screw will not run smoothly.
(4) When assembling and installing the screw with other mechanical parts, do not take the nut off the high-precision ball screw. If the nut falls off the screw, please contact the after-sales technical personnel.
(5) If the central axes of the support at both ends of the linear motion ball screw are not concentric with the center of the nut, excessive frictional resistance will be generated on the linear ball screw, resulting in increased torque, heat generation and other phenomena. Therefore, during installation, it is necessary to align the "three-point line" of the ball screw.
