SOT025——25mm Diameter Ball Spline

The ball spline utilizes the balls installed inside the outer cylinder of the spline shaft to perform smooth rolling and transmit torque simultaneously in the precisely ground rolling grooves.

Ball Splines can be divided into two types: the cylindrical type (SOT/SLT) and the flange type. The flange type can be further categorized into the round flange (SLF) and the square flange (SOF). The diameter range is from 6 to 50 mm, and there are three precision grades, namely N (normal), H (high), and P (precision).

Cylindrical ball splines and flange ball splines: The installation of cylindrical ball splines is complicated, requiring multiple external mechanisms or upper and lower ZR radial movements connected by keys and pins. Flanged ball splines have screw holes on their own, which facilitates quick installation. They can be connected to the power part without the assistance of external mechanisms. And the precision requirements for them are not that high. These standard products are mainly applied to automated equipment with simple structural design and relatively low precision requirements, such as simple sorting machines and tray-arranging machines.
