If ball guides are used, the minimum parallelism index of their installation surface is 0.01mm/m; if roller guides are selected, floating sliders can be equipped, and the allowable range of parallelism is 3mm/m at this time.
The factors that affect the accuracy of two mutually perpendicular linear guides mainly include the following:
1. Flatness accuracy of the installation working surface of the linear guide: Generally, the larger the area of the installation working surface, the more difficult it is to control the flatness accuracy. The actual accuracy level of flatness depends on the accuracy requirements in practical applications and the processing level of the equipment itself.
2. Parallelism of linear guides: This parameter mainly affects the distance between two guides. In actual measurement, it is necessary to use a dial gauge with a micrometer to determine. Generally, the accuracy requirement for parallelism is set within the range of 0.02mm. Of course, this value will vary according to different usage scenarios and requirements.
The installation methods of Linear Guideways are divided into horizontal installation and vertical installation. Comparatively speaking, horizontal installation has a better performance in terms of bearing capacity. Linear guideways use a special bundling structure design, enabling them to simultaneously bear loads from up-down, left-right directions. This is very different from sliding guides. Sliding guides can only bear small lateral loads in the plane contact surface direction and are very likely to cause a decrease in the operating accuracy of the machine tool.
