1. Noise Caused by Inadequate Lubrication
1)Reapply Specialized Lubricant:
Wipe off the old oil on the linear rail with a clean cloth, then apply a thin layer of specialized lubricating grease for linear guides (such as lithium-based grease) to cover the raceway.
2)Regular Lubrication:
•For low-speed equipment: Reapply grease every 2-3 months.
•For high-speed equipment: Reapply grease monthly or follow the lubrication schedule in the equipment manual.
2. Noise Caused by Improper Preload
Adjust Installation Screws:
Gently loosen the linear guide mounting screws with a wrench (do not fully remove them). Manually push the slider until a slight resistance is felt. Then gradually tighten the screws in a diagonal sequence to avoid local over-tightening.
3. Noise Caused by Dust Invasion
Install Dustproof Devices:
•Install dust baffles or covers matched with the linear rail system (available from the manufacturer) to block dust.
•In high-dust environments, use compressed air (air pressure ≤ 0.3 MPa) to blow off dust from the linear guideway surface weekly.
4. Other Quick Troubleshooting Tips
•Check for Slider Looseness:
Push the slider. If it wobbles significantly, tighten the loose screws.
•Replace Worn Components:
If there are obvious scratches on the guide surface or abnormal noise when the slider rotates, contact the manufacturer to replace the guide rail or slider.
Note: Power off the equipment before operation to ensure safety! If the noise persists after self-troubleshooting, please contact Hojama's professional maintenance personnel.
